In 2009 we
had been to Char Dham yathra in uttarkhand. While returning from Badrinath, we
came across a board 'Valley of flowers 17Km'. After looking at it we wanted to visit that place. From that
moment when ever we came across the word‘valley’, my wife was very keen to
know more about it ……Once in her office during lunch hour her colleagues were
discussing about the ‘valley of flowers’ and thats how it became a strong reason for us to
visit ‘VALLEY OF FLOWERS’.
Here are our
journey details:
July 21, 2012: At
5.05PM we went to Delhi from Bangalore by flight, we reached Delhi at 7.25 PM.
From New Delhi railway station our night journey started to Haridwar.
July 22, 2012: We
reached Haridhwar at 4.10 AM.
At 5.50 AM
we took a bus heading towards Badrinath.
On the way
we came across Rishikesh - Dev Prayag–Srinagar-RudraPrayag–KarnaPryag-Nandaprayag–Chamoli-Pipalkoti and finally at 6.10PM we reached Joshimat.
At Joshimat, uma's colleague’s friend Dinesh Uniyal helped us by providing accommodation
and arranged a guide with us.
July 23,2012: At
6.20AM we took a jeep towards Govind ghat. By the time we reached Govind
ghat, it was 7AM. We had breakfast there
and we took rain coat, a bamboo stick for support and started to Ghangaria at 8AM.
We enjoyed our journey with beautiful nature and reached Ghangaria at 4 PM.
There he
arranged accommodation for us, next morning we started trekking towards VALLEY OF FLOWERS at 7 am. Here is some( huge)
